Leah Kirwan was named the 2019 Carlingford Oyster Pearl at the well attended event at the weekend.
Leah, who has previously shot to fame singing alongside her younger brother Noah who has Down Syndrome on the Late Late Show, succeeded Bronagh Quinn as this year’s Oyster Pearl on Sunday.
Leah was sponsored by The Bay Tree Restaurant and Belvedere House B&B and proved a popular winner.
Reacting to her win on Facebook, Leah said: “Still can’t get over the fact that I’ve won’t the oyster pearl 2019, completely overwhelmed!!
“What an amazing weekend with amazing people.”
Thousands turned out at Carlingford for the 40th anniversary of the festival, with some of Ireland’s top acts performing over the course of the weekend culminating with Bagatelle’s live show last night.
