National Broadband Plan will result in €34m investment in Louth

The National Broadband Plan will result in a €34 million investment in Co Louth over the next 25 years.

That’s according to National Broadband Ireland, the Granahan McCourt-led Consortium who have been announced as the Preferred Bidder to implement the Plan by Minister for Communications, Climate Action & Environment, Richard Bruton.

According to the company some 8,660 premises in the county will be connected via the installation of high-speed fibre network, as part of the National Broadband Plan roll-out.

Established in response to the NBP, National Broadband Ireland brings together a primarily Irish team with significant national and international expertise in designing, building and operating large-scale telecommunications networks.
