RockSalt Café in Blackrock has been building a fantastic reputation for great food, service and coffee since opening its doors last summer. Over the last two weeks they have been recognised for its achievements to date picking up two national awards.
RockSalt Café won “Best Café” in Louth at the Irish Restaurant Association Awards night in Kilashee House hotel last week, swiftly followed by winning a Business All-Star award for Best in Class. This is a coveted accreditation which took place in Croke Park on Tuesday. It is an independently verified standard mark for businesses based on rigorous selection criteria including mystery guests visits, interviews and the positive impact on local community life.
Owner Daniel McLoughlin said: “It was a very proud moment for the whole team as we have been working extremely hard to perfect our service and offering. To win Best Café in Louth from people voting for us is an incredible achievement as we are still a new business in our first-year trading.
“The Café has really taken off and it’s great to have so many people enjoy what we have created. Winning a Business All-Star in our first year in operation is a first since the award has begun and it was a particularly proud moment in my career. It’s a national accreditation award that looks at your business in dept from customer service, team morale and potential. To have achieved these awards within our first year give us great confidence in what we are doing and its still only the start of what we aim to bring to RockSalt.”
