Yesterday’s postponement of Dundalk FC’s home game against Bohemian FC on Friday week due to international call-ups was a nuisance for many supporters but for one fan in particular it was a nightmare.
Italian Giordano Pantosti, who started following the club after coming across Gabriel Sava while playing FIFA, had planned to visit Oriel Park for the first time in four years to take in the match on March 22nd.
Those plans were thrown into disarray yesterday after the game was postponed but thankfully there was a happy ending to Giordano’s story.
The Roman was invited on to Gerry Kelly’s Late Lunch show on LMFM to tell his story with Dundalk FC head coach Vinny Perth also brought on the show.
He subsequently invited Giordano and his friends to train and have lunch with the team while here.
