Plans have been drawn up for a new medical unit at The Fairways Centre on the Dublin Road.
Developers Wonderglade have submitted a planning application to Louth County Council seeking permission to change the use of unit 7 from a ground floor retail unit to a unit for the provision of medical/health services.
As part of their application they are seeking the go ahead for an extension of the floor area at first floor level also for the provision of medical/health services and minor elevational amendments on the northern and eastern elevations to include new windows and altered signage and all associated site development works.
A decision on the matter will be made by April 3rd.
Last May a doctor’s surgery was approved for unit 3 of the centre following an application by Melfair Fairways Ltd but as yet this has not been acted upon.
At present the three retailers trading from The Fairways Centre, which opened in October 2017, are SuperValu, Costa Coffee and McCormack’s Pharmacy.
