The number of new homes built in Co Louth last year jumped by more than 60%.
That’s according to new figures from the Central Statisics Office.
New dwelling completion figures show there were 602 properties built in the county last year, up 60.5% from 375 in 2017.
The fourth quarter was the busiest of 2018 with 47 single houses built, as well as 124 scheme houses and 15 apartments.
In total 296 of the new dwellings were in the Dundalk Eircode region with 613 in Drogheda. Of the Drogheda builds 307 were in Co Meath.
