Dundalk FC have confirmed that midfielder Karolis Chvedukas has left the club by mutual consent to join Waterford FC.
The Lithuanian international joined the club from Suduva in his homeland in January 2018 after spells in Poland and Croatia. He went on to make 12 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal last season against Limerick.
He had an interrupted season with injury and underwent ankle surgery towards the end of the season to rectify the problem.
The club said: “Everyone at Dundalk Football Club would like to thank Karolis for his effort, commitment and professionalism during his time at the club and wish him all the very best in the future.”
Dundalk have strengthened the midfield area of the side in recent weeks with the signings of Jordan Flores and Sean Murray.
