The number of people signing on the Live Register in Dundalk continued to fall in November.
For the fourth month running, the number on the Register locally fell, with the latest drop coming in at 1.5%.
The latest figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) show there were 3,649 people claiming dole payments in the town last month, compared to 3,703 in October.
This means that the Live Register in Dundalk remains at its lowest point since June 2008 when there were 3,547 signing on.
The latest figure is also 10.6% less than this time last year when there were 4,081 on the Live Register in town.
There was a similar story in the county as a whole. Its figure also fell by 1.2% from 7,919 in October to 7,824 last month. This is the lowest the number on the Live Register has been in the county since reaching 7,390 in February 2008.
The latest figure is also 11.9% down on this time last year when 8,878 were on the Register.
Drogheda also recorded a 1.2% fall from 3,385 in October to 3,344 last month while Ardee remained unchanged with 831 on the Register there.
