Huge queues have formed in the Long Walk Shopping Centre this morning for the opening of the Dundalk FC merchandise shop.
Well over 100 people began queuing from 11am ahead of the opening at noon.
The reason for the queue is understood to be in relation to the release of a limited edition retro jersey, inspired by the 1988 double-winning side featuring the Harp Lager logo.
The club shop will also sell the new range of 2019 training gear as well as other memorabilia. The existing home and away jerseys have been reduced to €40 for adults and €30 for children as a result of sponsor Fyffes’ decision not to renew their deal yesterday.
UPDATE: The retro jersey sold out within minutes of opening with more stock expected on December 17th
