Goalkeeper Gabriel Sava has announced his departure from Dundalk FC.
The 32-year-old joined Dundalk from Drogheda Utd at the start of the 2014 season and has largely been back up to firstly Peter Cherrie and then Gary Rogers since then.
Despite being a fringe player, Sava played his part in each of his five seasons at Oriel Park, winning four league titles, two FAI Cups and two EA Sports Cups in a trophy laden spell at the club.
Writing on his Facebook page, Sava said: “Thank you for an amazing 5 years at Dundalk FC.
“It was a pleasure to share a dressing room with so many great players and a wonderful back room team. A special thanks to the incredible fans, you made those years so special. Finally to the main man Stephen Kenny, it was a pleasure to work for you.
“Looking forward to return at Oriel Park soon. C’mon the town heeey.”
